COUNSELING
Pacific Center provides high quality, LGBT sensitive, mental health services at
affordable sliding scale fees. Medi-Cal payments are
accepted. Our services include:
- Individual Counseling
- Couples & Family Counseling
- Group Counseling
Our counselors can help you with coming out, anxiety, depression,
and other mental health needs. We also provide referrals for
other providers as appropriate.

CLINICAL TRAINING PROGRAM
Graduate level psychology and social work trainees and interns receive valuable training
working with our highly diverse LGBT population.
Our year long program meets all Board of Behavioral
Health requirements for licensure. Interns are supervised
by licensed mental health therapists who
generously donate their time. For more information about the

YOUTH PROGRAM
LGBTQ youth ages 13-23
living in Berkeley, Oakland and the surrounding communities can find
support and information through Pacific Center.
Our services
include:
• "LOUD" LGBTQ Youth
Program
Free drop-in groups for LGBTQ youth and their allies every
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-6pm. Groups include Social Activities,
Support, Art, Activism, Education, Food, Friends and FUN!
• Queer Youth Movie
Night
Come watch a queer film with your friends every Friday from 4-6pm at
the Pacific Center. Free film, free popcorn, always a good time.
• Safer Schools Project
Become an activist! Fight homophobia and oppression by sharing your
personal coming out story and informing schools and organizations
about LGBTQ youth issues and needs. Our intensive two-day trainings
are fun and educational and are held twice a year. Once completed,
you can become part of the team that reaches over 1000 students,
teachers and service providers a year. Please call for more

• Outreach and Workshops
Staff and trained youth speakers can provide panel presentations
and LGBTQ trainings for your school or organization. Through a
structured curriculum, participants will learn LGBTQ 101 basics and
gain a better understanding of meeting the unique needs of LGBTQ
youth. Please call to set up a panel or workshop.
• Gay-Straight Alliance
Club Support
Pacific Center provides tools, information, leadership training,
networking, and organizing support for school-based Gay-Straight
Alliance (GSA) clubs in Berkeley and Oakland high schools.

Peer group members
are requested to make a $5 to $20 donation per
group meeting. Therapy groups are a sliding scale fee of $10 to $45.
