The therapists I work with are incredible. They are warm, collaborative, and are able to be both playful and empathetic. We support each other to better support our community!

Applications for the 2026-2027 Training Year are officially open HERE.

Applications will close March 31.

As a clinician at Pacific Center, you will gain experience working with our diverse LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC clients. Our year-long program meets all Board of Behavioral Sciences & Board of Psychology licensing laws. Clinicians in the training program are supervised by licensed clinicians.

The program is a 12-month long commitment; student trainee clinicians begin the program in September, opening with a 2 week orientation. All days of orientation are mandatory and vital to a successful year. A schedule will be emailed out to all accepted into the program later this year.

We are currently accepting applications for clinical trainees in MFT, LPCC or LCSW programs and will admit just around five (5) trainees this year.

Please check our Employment Opportunities page of our website for any open spots for the Associate Clinician position(s). There are currently none on offer at this time.

Please let us know in your application CV/Letter or Questionnaire if your school/program requires any special training or types of therapy.

Clinicians in training are required to commit to 20 hours per week and must be willing to complete 8-10 client hours during our office hours and be able to commit to completing 75% of these 20 hours in person.

What makes our program unique?

  • 3+ hours of weekly support from Clinic Staff including Drop-In Q&A & Clinic Team Meeting + training/workalong days

  • In house Group and Individual Supervision with Licensed Clinicians

  • Weekly 2-hour didactic trainings on a wide variety of topics, ideologies and orientations

The goal of Didactic Trainings is to enhance and deepen clinical skills to better serve the community. Because our clinical program is a hybrid of a community based mental clinic with an overlay of private practice sensibilities, trainings are designed to address the contemporary needs of clients and the community we serve through a multi-dimensional lens.

Some examples of the training topics include: Trauma Informed Care, Understanding Intersex, Relationship Work aka Couples Work Racialized Trauma, Disordered Eating, Asexuality and Aromanticism 101, Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy and many more!
