Kick off Pride Month in style by attending our Golden Dreams Gala! Dear Community, We are so excited for our upcoming Golden Dreams Gala, a momentous event that will kick off Pride Month and mark a significant milestone in the history of Pacific Center. Join us as we celebrate 50 years of dedicated service, support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community. We're Still Here, We're Still Queer, and We're Turning 50! For five decades, Pacific Center has been a beacon of hope, a safe space and a source of empowerment for thousands of individuals. We have witnessed the progress, struggles and triumphs of our community, and we are proud to stand strong as we enter our 50th year of service. Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023

  • Time: 5:30 PM onwards (VIP meet and greet - only TWO TICKETS left!)

  • Berkeley, outdoor location. Address upon registration.

What to Expect: The Golden Dreams Gala promises to be an unforgettable evening filled with celebration, reflection and gratitude. Here's a glimpse of what awaits you:

  • MC Sister Tilda NexTime will bring the joy and celebration!

  • Keynote Speeches: Esteemed community leaders, including Corrina Gould of the Ohlone Nation; Jesse Arreguín, Mayor of Berkeley, with a proclamation recognizing Pacific Center’s accomplishments; and Christopher Stemborowski, Pacific Center Board Chair. Their words will inspire us to continue our vital work in supporting and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community.

  • Live Performances at the Gala and After Party: Prepare to be captivated by an array of dazzling live performances that showcase the talent, creativity and diversity of our community. From music to drag, each act will embody the spirit of celebration and resilience. Featuring SoLauren and the Oakland Gay Men’s Chorus.

  • Honoring Our Champions: We will recognize and honor individuals who have contributed significantly to Pacific Center's mission over the past half-century. Their unwavering commitment has shaped our organization and positively impacted countless lives. Honorees are Leslie Ewing with a Lifetime Achievement award, Taunya Black for the Culture Shift Award, Henry van der Voort for the Volunteer Service Award, and Horizons Foundation for the Community Partner Award.

  • Silent and Live Auctions: Engage in friendly bidding wars over unique items, experiences, and services generously donated by local businesses and community members. By participating in the silent and live auctions, you directly support the vital programs and services we provide to our community.

  • Community Unity: Connect, network and forge new friendships with like-minded individuals, allies and activists who share a common passion for equality and inclusion. Celebrate the power of community as we come together to uplift and support one another.
