Greetings, Pacific Center Community! Update On Our Move Our move is nearly upon us! In late August we move, and in early September, we will be situated and ready to welcome folx at our new downtown Berkeley offices at 2130 Center Street, suite 200. Our team has been tirelessly working to ensure that this transition brings even more opportunities, resources and support to our vibrant community. We can't wait to welcome you to our new space, where we are excited to resume hybrid and in-person gatherings, and introduce new ways for our community to connect and flourish. Keep an eye out for updates and invitations to our grand opening event, where we will come together to commemorate this remarkable milestone.
Move Funded, Other Projects to Support, and Sponsor a Room at our New Space!

Our move budget has been funded! Thank you again to the Gay Chemists Support Fund at Horizons Foundation for donating the first $10,000, and to an anonymous donor for donating the other $15,000! Thanks to these two generous donations, our projected move budget has been fully funded at $25000!
We are so grateful, and this means RAINBOW paint for some of our walls! (Know any queer painters who are looking for a job immediately? Drop a note to Maria, our move coordinator with your referral!)
Thank you again to our generous move underwriters; The Gay Chemists Fund at Horizons Foundation, and our anonymous supporter!
And, we still have some move-related projects that are unfunded:
Three Owls or other hybrid units to outfits our meeting rooms for hybrid services: ~$4000 for project
Three wall monitors for meeting spaces: ~$1900 for project
Two computer stations for our youth space: ~$3500 for project
If you’d like to make a donation earmarked for one of these projects, drop Lasara a note and they will get in touch to discuss which project(s) you want to fund, and set up your donation. If you’re interested in another way you can donate now in order to help fund these areas of unmet need, we’re excited to launch our room sponsorship project: you will help us decide what to name our spaces, and your fund, business, or organization will get acknowledgement on signage in our building. Contact Christopher, our Board President, if you’d like more information on this program.

Hybrid/In-Person Programming: Reconnecting Face-to-Face As the world emerges from the challenges of the past few years, we couldn't be more thrilled to bring back a greater range of programming in a hybrid/in-person format. While our online offerings have been invaluable, we believe in the profound power of face-to-face connection. Opening the doors of our new location will be the ideal moment to reintroduce in-person and hybrid workshops, seminars, and events that allow us to come together, learn, and joyously celebrate our wonderfully diverse community. A Dedicated Youth Space: Nurturing Tomorrow's Leaders One of the most exciting features of our new space is the creation of a dedicated area just for our amazing youth. We believe in empowering and uplifting the voices of the next generation, and this space will be a true haven for young LGBTQIA+ and questioning individuals. It will serve as a safe space and an inclusive environment where our youth can truly thrive, connect and socialize with other LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC youth. Meeting Rooms: A Hub for Connection At Pacific Center, fostering connections within our community has always been a top priority. With our move, we are thrilled to introduce two dynamic meeting group rooms, where we can organize workshops, host peer support groups and facilitate community gatherings and engaging discussion forums. And maybe even a dance party every now and again! Therapy Rooms: A Place of Healing Our new space will also feature two therapy rooms, enabling us to resume offering in-person mental health services for therapists and clients who prefer face-to-face sessions.

Everything Must Go: Final Porch Sale/Give Away/Plant Sale at 2712 Telegraph, August 9 We want to extend a special invitation to attend our final Porch Sale/Give Away/Plant Sale at our old location on August 9th. We will be giving away so many treasured items and mementos that we can’t take with us—on a donation basis. We will also be parting with the rest of our plants, so please do stop by to pick up a keepsake or two from our beloved home of more than 40 years! .

What makes Trees Hate You stand out is how it transforms a peaceful forest into something deeply unsettling and hostile.
While checking news during my coffee break, I thought about how support, like filling a happy glass, turns scarcity into abundance-the center's approach seems to draw smart lines between urgent needs and long-term care.
