Dear folx, Happy Monday! Can you believe it’s almost February already? We are sending out this email because we are pleased to inform you that we have launched a matching campaign in honor of a major donation we received from an anonymous donor. This amazing donor donated a generous $50,000 to kick off the year of our 50th Anniversary! We are so grateful for this donation. It’s making a measurable difference for Pacific Center. We are deeply inspired and heartened by this community member’s generosity. We appreciate all of our community members who continue to provide support for the Center’s LGBTQIA+ community services. Please support our matching campaign here, 50kmatch, to help us to continue the life-saving work that we do. On another note, last month we were invited to participate in Berkeley’s 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr Breakfast Celebration: Beyond the Dream – United for Gender Equality. The annual Berkeley MLK Breakfast Celebration is a way for the community to come together in a joyful, moving, and meaningful way. It was such an honor to be recognized for our work in supporting our community by this organization, and such a joy to be part of the celebration of so many amazing organizations and individual beneficiaries. If you’d like, you can see the video of the event here: (PC @ 55:20). Until next time, take care of yourself, and of each other. We’re here if you need us. Warmly, -Lasara Executive Director Pacific Center for Human Growth
